Indalo Marine Rigging is a full-service marine  rigging  shop.  We are located on Mount Dessert Island, in the center of a renowned cruising ground, on the coast of Maine, on the North East coast of the USA.  Although geographically small, the island has a tradition of high quality boat building and service, which we are proud to be a part of.

 

IMR was started in 1995 and has become a well respected and sought out resource to the local sailing community. Because we are a small company and specialize just on rigging, we can work directly with the boat owner on custom projects suited to their boating style.

 

Our typical project finds us working on boats from 20 to 120 feet in length, mostly sailboats, but not exclusively. We might be replacing old spars with shiny light- weight carbon fiber ones, or installing a complete hydraulic system. More commonly, our day to day work involves replacing halyards, standing rigging, or deck hardware to take advantage of modern materials which make the boat easier to handle or more competitive, sometimes both.

 

Another advantage of being a small company is that our low overhead costs enable us to offer competitive pricing on both labor and top quality materials. We are installing and service dealers for many internationally respected manufacturers of marine products. However you don’t need to come all the way to Maine to experience our attention to detail. We commonly ship out products made to a customer’s exact specifications like new lifelines, standing rigging or halyards.
